Welcome!
This page is for those students in St. Francis Xavier School or our Public School of Religion who are in the ninth grade during the 2025/26 school year, or any high school teen (9th grade or higher) who has not yet completed a Confirmation preparation program and received the Sacrament.
This program is led by Deacon Bob and Dawn Cavanaugh.

Meeting Dates
5:30-8:15 p.m. (except where noted)
Sept. 7, 2025 – Kick Off, 3 p.m. with sponsor
Oct. 5, 2025 – The Sacrament of Confirmation
Nov. 2, 2025 – Prayer
Dec. 7, 2025 – The Mass with a parent
Jan. 4, 2026 – The Eucharist
Feb. 1, 2026 – Scripture
March 1, 2026 – Using our Gifts
April 12, 2026 – 12 Noon Mass – 2 p.m. Rehearsal with sponsors
Confirmation Requirements

Complete 8th Grade Edge Program or Day School Religion Class

Attend monthly Confirmation small group sessions beginning Sept. 7, 2025

Attend weekly Sunday Mass

Attend information meeting

Attend Confirmation retreat

Attend all monthly Confirmation meetings held on Sunday evening with Mass

Complete Confirmation entrance interview (dates and times tbd)

Attend four flex meeting options with a parent

Complete 10 service hours – 2 with parent or adult sponsor (5 for the parish and 5 in the community)
Complete service reflection form (click HERE)

Complete Confirmation saint report

Complete Retreat Reflection (click HERE)

Have sponsor complete & return Confirmation Sponsor Form to Dawn via parish office (original paper copy)
