Navigating grief and God’s healing journey
Our St. Francis Xavier faith community has experienced a lot of loss this year, and many may be questioning where God is in all of this. Why did our loved ones pass at a time that feels, to our human senses, too soon? Even the loss of older friends and relatives can leave an awful void. How do we help others process a range of physical, emotional and spiritual reactions that may have caught us off guard?
Ty Morgan, spiritual care and education coordinator with Cornerstone of Hope, will present information to help us navigate these challenges. In his free, 45-minute presentation, Ty will discuss the experience of bereavement and what it means to grieve. He will address both grief and mourning, highlighting healthy patterns of healing. He will discuss what to expect during the grief journey and how to navigate the healing journey.
The program will address the stages of the grieving process and how to meet your needs. Ty will discuss coping and process helpful resources. This program will also cover the promises of God and discuss how to embrace His healing power.
You’ll have time afterward to speak with Ty, if desired. A light lunch will be offered, so please register to help us know how much to plan.
