Diocesan Evening of Confessions
Every time we sin, we hurt ourselves, other people and God. In Reconciliation, we acknowledge our sins before God and the Church. We express our sorrow in a meaningful way, receive the forgiveness of Christ and his Church, make reparation for what we have done, and resolve to do better in the future. On this night, all churches throughout the Diocese of Cleveland will be open for confession.
Come and receive God’s healing graces.

St. Francis Xavier & the Early Christian Japanese Martyrs
Spanish missionary St. Francis Xavier, a founder of the Jesuits and our patron, brought Christianity and trade goods to Japan in 1549. A small church grew there, but in 1597, Japan’s ruler outlawed Christianity and ordered the crucifixion of 26 men in Nagasaki. The Catholic Church celebrates the feast day of St. Paul Miki andn Companions each year on Feb. 6.
Former St. Francis Xavier parishioner Kristie Kiesel spent time at this site. She will share insights from the culture and the site’s archeological dig, along with Japanese culinary treats. Please register by March 20.

Food Insecurity in Medina - and What You Can Do
Poverty and food insecurity exist – even in Ohio’s 6th wealthiest county. Some 22,130 individuals (12.1%) and 4,860 children (12.3%) struggle right here in Medina County.
Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank provides relief programs across eight counties, including 1,821,177 pounds of food through Medina partners like our own Society of St. Vincent de Paul.
The Foodbank’s Marisa Wren and SVdP’s Rick Niese will share how people are assisted by your help and the need for our Catholic Christian witness. A simple soup supper at 5:30 p.m. will precede the talk. Soup and bread will be provided. Please register by March 28.
