On Friday we celebrate the optional Memorial of Saint Joseph the Worker, so during morning Mass Deacon Paul reflected on the sacred dignity of work. In particular, he prayed for the 10 individuals in the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland who lost their lives this year while working. Here's his short homily.
Our 80 second-graders prepared for First Communion by participating Saturday in a short retreat that included practice lining up and receiving the Eucharist, a re-enactment of the Last Supper (complete with foot washing), and creation of each child's banner that will hang in the church. Please keep them in your prayers as they celebrate their first reception of the sacrament this weekend!
