Encounter His Merciful Love

Sin harms our relationships with God, ourselves, and others. Reconciliation restores us to grace, healing our hearts and renewing our mission.

About Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation isn’t about guilt. It’s about grace.

It’s not about shame. It’s about freedom.

It’s the moment you return to the Father who has never stopped waiting for you.

In Reconciliation, Jesus Christ meets you in your brokenness. He listens. He forgives. He restores. Through the ministry of the Church, He removes the weight of sin and fills you with peace that only He can give.

Here at St. Francis Xavier, we invite you—no matter how long it’s been—to come and receive this healing sacrament. You are not alone. You are not too far gone. His mercy is waiting.

Reconciliation Times

Saturdays: 3:30–4:30 PM
By appointment: Call the parish office at 330‑725‑4968

Sacramental Formation

When children prepare for Reconciliation for the first time, they are not just learning how to confess—they are discovering the heart of a loving God.

Our family-centered formation equips both children and parents to understand the beauty of this sacrament and how it sets us free. The program includes:

Several gatherings for orientation and formation

A take-home book completed together as a family

Support from our religious education team and community

Typically, children celebrate their First Reconciliation in second grade, but we welcome and support children of any age who are ready.

Prerequisite

Children must be enrolled in a Parish School of Religion or Catholic school for at least one year before receiving the sacrament.
