Soup, Speakers & Stations events explore how we put our faith in action

This Lent, bring a pot of soup or some bread, and let’s share a meal in the Xavier Room as we learn about putting our faith in action.

Skip, Kip & Sip!

Date: 5:30 p.m. Friday, March 14
Speaker: Skip Sipos, executive director of the Medina Metropolitan Housing Authority, will be here to tell us about Next Step Up, the Emergency Housing Shelter that opened this month. This county-wide, collaborative effort involves county and municipal government, social service agencies, nonprofits, and many faith-based entities committed to serving the least among us. Learn more about this effort, whom it serves and how we can help. Deacon Paul “Kip“fstuhl will talk about how this effort relates to our Catholic faith. And, just because we thought it was fun, you’re welcome to bring a bottle of wine to “sip” and share!

Eucharistic Missionaries to speak

Date: 5:30 p.m. Friday, April 4
Speakers: Marian Fletcher, Nick Haney, Deacon Mark Tomecko and Jennifer Webb
Our parish missionaries to the National Eucharistic Congress in Indianapolis last summer will share their witness testimony reflections on the Eucharist and what it was like to be among the 60,000+ Catholics who attended.

We’ll provide some soup and bread, but we welcome your culinary contributions! Paper products and water will be provided.

We’ll start at 5:30 p.m. and conclude in time for you to attend 7 p.m. Stations of the Cross in the church.
