We Worship Because He Is Worthy

We don’t simply “go to church.” Worship is something we give—because Jesus Christ gave everything for us.

The Heart of Our Parish

Catholic worship is not just a weekly obligation or spiritual habit. It’s a life-giving encounter with the living God.

When we gather at Mass, we’re not spectators. We’re participants in the Paschal Mystery, offering ourselves with Christ in a sacrifice of love.

We don’t come for what we get. We come to give God what He deserves: our adoration, our repentance, our praise, our hearts.

And in return, He gives us more than we could ever imagine: Jesus, fully present in the Eucharist—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity.

“The Church draws her life from the Eucharist.”
– Catechism of the Catholic Church, 1324

Why Worship Matters

We were created for communion—with God and with one another. But sin fractured that communion. Worship is how we are drawn back.

It’s how we remember who we are and whose we are.

In the liturgy, Heaven touches Earth. Christ speaks. The Word is proclaimed. The Spirit is poured out. The Father receives our offering.

And then we are sent out, transformed by God’s grace.

Worship at St. Francis Xavier

At St. Francis Xavier Parish, we believe worship is the source and summit of parish life. It forms disciples. It sends missionaries. It restores hope.

We prepare every liturgy with prayer, reverence, and intentionality, so that anyone who enters our church, whether for the first time or the thousandth, might encounter the beauty of a Church alive with faith.

Every server, lector, musician, greeter, and minister is part of this holy offering.

Our goal is not performance. Our goal is presence: to help every heart see Jesus.
