During Lent, we enter deeper prayer, retreat, and preparation. New catechumens receive Baptism, Confirmation, and First Eucharist at the Easter Vigil (generally a day in April). It\u2019s a powerful encounter with Christ\u2019s resurrection life!<\/p>\n

OCIA is a journey, not a sprint. While every person\u2019s path is different, most participants meet weekly for several months and attend part of Sunday Mass with the community.<\/p>\n

Those ready for full initiation often receive the sacraments at the Easter Vigil, though initiation can also happen at other times of year depending on readiness.<\/p>\n
