Our Story
Located in the heart of Medina, Ohio, St. Francis Xavier Parish is a vibrant, Eucharist-centered community devoted to proclaiming the Gospel, forming disciples, and building up the Body of Christ.
We are pilgrims on a shared journey of faith: formed by the Eucharist, guided by the Holy Spirit, and sent forth to be Christ’s presence in the world.
Rooted in the Gospel and nourished at the altar, we long to become a Church that goes out. Not content with comfort or complacency, but on fire with the love of Jesus.
In our worship, in our friendships, and in our service, we strive to reflect the beauty and unity of God’s people.
We invite you to grow with us. Through our worship, formation programs, and ministries, we seek to form hearts for Christ—young and old, new believers and lifelong Catholics alike.

From humble beginnings in a log church in 1861 to the thriving parish we are today, St. Francis Xavier has been faithfully serving the Medina community for generations.
