Heartfelt Thanks for Supporting the 35th Annual Charity Golf Outing

On behalf of the St. Francis Xavier Parish community and the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, thank you to every golfer, dinner guest, volunteer, and sponsor who made the 35th Annual Charity Golf Outing on October 19, 2026, an extraordinary success. Hosted at the newly renovated Medina Country Club, the outing brought together a full field of 128 golfers alongside dedicated supporters for an uplifting day of fellowship, friendly competition, and generosity.

Your participation directly fuels the mission of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, which provides more than $225,000 annually in critical emergency assistance to Medina County neighbors. Because 99.9% of all donated funds remain in the local community, the proceeds raised from this year’s golf registrations, hole sponsorships, and auction bids ensure immediate relief for families facing food insecurity, utility shutoffs, and emergency housing needs. Every swing taken and auction bid placed helps over 500 local households regain stability with dignity and compassion.

As volunteer Dan Cathcart shared regarding the event’s tradition, the annual parish golf outing stands as a powerful testament to the compassion and selflessness of our community. We are deeply grateful to our business sponsors, hole donors, and the hardworking volunteers who coordinated registration, morning Mass, tournament logistics, and the evening program. The St. Vincent de Paul Society serves those in need with compassion, dignity, and generosity. Over $225,000 is given annually to Medina County families in need providing help with food, shelter, rent, utilities and other essential needs. The impact of your sponsorship to the 35th Annual Charity Golf Outing for St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Francis Xavier Parish makes possible:

  • 500+ Medina neighbors helped annually
  • $225,000 given to Medina residents in need of assistance with rent, utilities and emergency housing
  • 99.9% of all donated funds given to Medina residents in need
  • 300+ Christmas gifts for children who’d otherwise go without
  • 10,000 pounds of food distributed annually
  • 3,000+ Volunteer hours given annually to support Medina families
