Parent Resources

Everything You Need in One Place

At St. Francis Xavier Catholic School, we partner with parents to ensure a smooth, informed, and faith-filled school experience. Below you’ll find links, guides, and important information to help you and your child stay prepared, supported, and connected throughout the year.

Family Handbook

Your go-to guide for school policies, dress code, procedures, and expectations.

Uniforms & School Supplies

Uniforms

As a parent, you’re looking for a place that reflects your values. A school that builds character, nurtures faith, and prepares your child for a bright future. You want teachers who care and a curriculum that challenges. You want to feel at home the moment you walk through the doors.

All St. Francis Xavier logos (current and past) are allowed if they meet handbook standards.

Emergency Closings & Delay Procedures

St. Francis Xavier School uses Blackboard Connect to notify families by text or phone when school is closed or delayed due to weather or emergency situations.

If Medina City Schools are closed or delayed due to inclement weather, we are too.
Because many of our students rely on Medina buses, we follow Medina City Schools for weather-related delays or closings. Information from Medina City Schools about closings and delays can be found by clicking here.

Please avoid calling the school or rectory for updates. Always wait for a Blackboard Connect notification.

2-Hour Delay Guidelines

Students must arrive by 10:50 a.m.

No morning preschool on delay days

No recess is scheduled

Latchkey still opens at 6:30 a.m.

A 2-hour delay could turn into a full-day closure if conditions worsen. You will be notified promptly via Blackboard Connect.

Consider registering for Latchkey in advance if you may need care during a delay.
The 2-hour delay schedule can be found here. For more info, contact our office at (330) 725-3345.

Online Learning: Google Classroom

Many of our teachers use Google Classroom to share homework (Grades 4-8), announcements, and project information. Each student receives a St. Francis Xavier email address and classroom code to access their specific classroom.

Your child’s teacher will provide:

Login credentials for their school-issued email

The classroom code needed to join

Need help getting started?

Check out these quick video tutorials:

If you run into any issues, don’t hesitate to contact your child’s teacher directly.
