Is your prayer life not as rich as you’d like it to be?
Jesus’ own disciples felt this way. They begged him to teach them how to pray (Luke 11:1-4).
Sit at his feet again and learn a centuries-old style of prayer based on Scripture and practiced by many saints.
In this 7-week course led by Deacon Paul Kipfstuhl, Mike Sweet and experienced lay parishioners, you’ll learn to hear our Gospel stories in a fresh way.
You’ll have an opportunity to share with others and learn about their prayer styles. And you’ll hear God speaking to you today through Scripture.
If you’ve participated before, you’re very welcome to join us again – God has more to say!
The course begins Monday, Sept. 8, at 6:30 p.m. in the Church.
All materials are provided.

Celebrate our country's 250th birthday
Celebrate our nation’s 250th birthday on the campus of St. Francis Xavier Parish! From the field next to our gym, you can see most of the fireworks being shot off at Medina High School.
Plus, you’ll get easy access to clean restrooms, parking and a playground for the kids. The parish will gladly provide our guests with free hot dogs, frozen ice cream and Popsicle treats, chips, water, activities and more. Open to all!
In addition, since the fireworks concide with First Friday, we will offer visitors the opportunity to stop into the church for a moment of peaceful prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Jesus will be exposed in the monstrance beginning at 7:30 p.m. and adoration will continue through the night until 7 a.m.
At 9 p.m., come to Mary’s Courtyard (between the church and school) and pray a rosary aloud in the darkness and dim light of the shrine. Bring your rosary, or some will be on hand for you. We’ll finish in plenty of time to enjoy the 10 p.m. fireworks!
